What are monsoons?
- Seasonal winds that happen twice a year in India.
- There are two types : Summer and Winter Monsoons.
- They are very heavy regime
- Monsoons are caused because of an influence of : wind, water, Himalayas, heat and humidity

- Immediately south of the Himalaya is the Ganges River valley, a chief region of the Indian culture
- The dry Deccan plateau stretches from the Ganges valley to the southern trip of India .
- Lush plains are found on India's eastern and western coasts.
- Monsoons are seasonal wind patterns that cause heavy rainfall in the summer and winter. Indian farmers depend on the summer monsoons rains to grow crops .
The famous Taj Mahal!
- The construction was started at 1632 , and finished about 22 years after
- It is actually the tomb for Mumtza Mahal, Shah Jahan´s wife
- It is located in Agra, India
- In the center of the Taj Mahal is the actual tomb, and in the surroundings we can see hallways all around
- The outside decorations are one of the most finest decorations in the Mughal Architecture
- Decorations were first promoted by Shah Jahan, who was the first one to build a palace with white marble.
So, who are Mumtza Mahal and Shah Jahan?
- Shah Jahan was the emperor during the Mughal Empire´s period of great prosperity.
- He was inspired to build this awesome palace because of his third wife´s death, Mumtza Mahal, who died after the birth of their 14th child, Gauhara Begum.
