The thirteenth century was very important for a group of pastoral people who were part of a really big and extended empire calle the Mongol Empire. Temujin or also known as Ghengis Khan born in 1162, founded and was the first Great Khan. His third son Ogedei, was the second Great Khan by succeeding his father. He continued the expansion his father made, and participated in other conquests too.
